Our Mission:
At REconnect Nature School, our mission is to foster confident and connected citizens of the world who feel capable and at home in both urban and natural environments. We believe in teaching and inspiring the next generation of creative changemakers and environmentalists.
By utilizing State Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and NASA’s GLOBE Program in project-based applications, we build a comprehensive educational experience that is not just theoretical concepts, but functional aspects of our student’s everyday lives. Through a holistic model, we teach our students that learning is accessible, reflexive, and continuous.
Engaging in inquiry-based learning is at the core of our approach, empowering students to take ownership of their education and develop skills to become lifelong learners. We believe that by allowing students to lead their own education through asking questions and seeking answers, we can foster a lifelong curiosity that will serve them well beyond their time at our school.

We are committed to making the outdoors and alternative education accessible and affordable for any student. Guided by this vision, we are pursuing a path towards offering educational programs that will eventually be free of charge and accessible to any family. As we move towards that goal, it is our priority to keep REconnect community based and facing by bringing nature education into urban areas on a regular basis.
In our model, nature immersion and community work go hand in hand as we strive to foster curious citizens of the world. Stewardship and conservation will always apply to our communities as much as they apply to nature. To that end, we are also devoted to cultivating community partnerships and collaborations that will plant a sense of impact and responsibility in our students.
